Simone Schriger is a doctoral student in clinical psychology at the University of Pennsylvania. Her career interests include leveraging implementation science and community-based participatory research to close the mental health treatment gap, particularly in resource-limited environments within and outside of the United States.
Simone graduated cum laude from Bates College in 2014 and later conducted research in South Africa and India as a Thomas J. Watson fellow. In addition, she carried out her master's thesis at the University of Pennsylvania on clinical supervision in community mental health in Philadelphia.
Simone is interested in increasing the sustainment and scalability of evidence-based practices in community and public health settings. She is also interested in better understanding the principles of ethical and equitable global health partnerships.
