Catherine Reale is a project manager at the Penn Medicine Nudge Unit. She currently works on projects that examine the impact of behavioral economics approaches to improve mobility among patients with or at risk for cardiovascular disease in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Prior to joining the team, Catherine supported studies examining the effectiveness of escalating rewards for weight maintenance as a senior clinical research coordinator for the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Health Incentives and Behavioral Economics (CHIBE). Catherine also worked as a research coordinator in Penn Medicine's Department of Maternal Fetal Medicine where she supported studies examining preterm birth, gestational diabetes, and postpartum cardiovascular health. Catherine holds a bachelor's degree in kinesiology from Penn State.
